A reception fit out of a 5 storey Victorian building, providing newly refurbished office space. The conceptual approach involved creating a contrast between the original architectural details of cast columns and exposed timber, with clean manufactured details of a lacquered MDF reception desk and simple steel and oak balustrading. The reception desk incorporates the building brand logo in the form of a ‘bullet hole’ back lit cut out and in addition, the rear reception wall features an abstract pattern derived from the number ‘52’. This abstract logo is also utilised externally on the street and fabricated in brass; continuing the material theme of the original door handle and letter plate.
